Computer Network

Helo Blogger, this time Learn-InformationSystem will sharing about Computer Network,
Lets Check This Out...

The computer network is a system that connects a computer device with other devices (eg, printers), through the medium of communication, so that data and information can be sent. Bandwidth refers to the transmission capacity of a network; (bits / second). Broadband refers to the transmission capacity of the network, which has a range from 1 million bits per second (megabits / s) up to 20 megabits / s, using the fiber.

Here are the various types of computer networks:

  • Personal Area Network (PAN), is a network that has a short range, typically only cover a few meters and is used for communication between devices that are close together.
  • Local Area Network (LAN), connecting two or more devices, usually in the same building, so that each device in the network communicate with each other. Most of the currently used LAN, using Ethernet (Picture Below). Ethernet in Picture Below consists of four (4) computers, a server and a printer in which the whole is connected with a cable.

Ethernal LAN

  • Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), is a computer network that is usually quite broad and can cover a metropolitan area.
  • Wide Area Networks (WAN), a network that covers a very wide geographical area. WAN is usually connected with many LANs. The Internet is an example of a WAN.

Enterprise Network

  • Enterprise Network. Organizations today, are connected with multiple LAN and WAN multiple interconnected through an enterprise network.
