The data warehouse is very expensive and is often used for large companies. Data marts into a solution for an organization that requires storage of smaller, low-cost and designed for the end user in an organization that is small or for departments in large organizations. The characteristics of the data warehouse and data marts are:
- Regulated by the business dimension or object.
- Using the online analytical processing
- Integrated
- Time variant
- Nonvolatile
