Data Governance

Haloooo guys, still relation about Managing Data, Now this topic about Data Governance

Data governance is the approach taken to manage information in an organization. Including, the design of business processes and policies to ensure data is properly handled. One strategy to implement a data governance is a master data management. Master data management provides the ability for companies to store, maintain, exchange and synchronization of master data is consistent, accurate and timely. Master data is a collection of core data, such as customer data, products, employees and suppliers.

Database Approach
Database management system known as the DBMS, providing the user, access to all the data that exists in an organization. DBMS can minimize the following issues:

  1. Data redundancy: the same data stored in diverse locations.
  2. Data isolation: an application can not access data that is associated with other applications.
  3. Data inconsistency: a wide variety of inconsistent data.

Moreover, DBMS also maximizes several advantages, including:

  1. Data security: Because the data is stored in one place in the database, it has the potential to lose a lot of data.
  2. Data Integrity: Data in accordance with the required standards, for example the absence of alphabetic characters in the field ID number.
  3. Data independence: Applications and data are not connected to each other, so that existing applications can access the same data.
Example of a university database. Applications university registrar's office comes from, accounting department and the athletics department, accessing data through database management system (DBMS).
